I have spent a lot of time tracking down the various unique weapons in Starfield, but Acid Rain was the first one I stumbled upon in my earliest playthrough. I held onto this unique rifle until I finally discovered the joys of using an AA-99 despite the Grendel being one of the weakest weapons in the game. Why? Because its special effects and color scheme were sweet! Here’s how to get Acid Rain in Starfield.

Where to Get Acid Rain in Starfield

You can get Acid Rain in Starfield by visiting Apex Electronics in The Well, New Atlantis. But it’s not enough to walk through the front door and plop down some credits. You see, the store owner doesn’t sell this unique rifle. The man to the side, sitting on a crate, Vicente Salinas, will sell you Acid Rain after opening his shop.

But to open his backroom gun store, you need to do Vicente a favor, which involves a quick trip to a different star system. Vicente wants to become friends and asks you to scoop up a package left behind on The Red Mile. It sounds shady, right? Thankfully, we never learn what’s in the box, but upon returning, he does walk us to the backroom and will sell guns and ammunition.

Acid Rain Stats and Details

You will immediately note the unique color scheme of Acid Rain. Unlike the typical Grendel, this one boasts a neon-green accent that, in the inventory menu, genuinely stands out from the pack. In person, it’s a little dull, though—the coloring, I mean. The weapon itself is fine, albeit slightly weak.

While random, the ability to deal additional corrosive damage on top of physical damage makes Acid Rain a viable weapon. The high rate of fire and large magazine size means you’ll dish out corrosive relatively frequently, too. It’s a winner for the early game!
