How to Get a Jobberknoll in Hogwarts Legacy

The first opportunity you’ll encounter is during the “The Elf, the Nab-Sack, and the Loom” main story quest. Throughout this mission, Deek teaches you about beast rescuing and care, starting with using your Nab-Sack to catch some magical animals. The two of you will head to a clearing in the South Hogwarts Region, where you’ll spot a large tree. Circling this tree is some Jobberknolls!

To catch one of these birds, you’ll have to get close and use your Nab-Sack spell to begin the beast-rescuing minigame. By activating this spell, a button prompt will appear on your screen, with you having to press the button a few times before the animal is successfully captured. If they run or fly away before you finish, you’ll have a short time to chase the beast and re-attempt it.

With Jobberknolls, you may find they fly around too much for you to do this effectively. If that’s the case, you can head down to the flat area below the tree to catch any Jobberknolls on the ground. While these may still fly away, you have a much higher chance of finding one just relaxing in the grass.

Hogwarts Legacy is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch through the official website.
