It could even be a boat.

How to Find the Mystery Box in MW3 Zombies

The Mystery Box in previous Call of Duty games used to be a mystery, appearing at random parts of the map or unlocked through special means. The Zombies mode in Modern Warfare 3 gets rid of the small enclosed maps in favor of the open world of Urzikstan.

So, the Mystery Box can be found directly on the map. Its icon is of an open chest with a giant question mark. There will be several boxes on the map in random locations, but they may not be there for the entire game.

How to Use the Mystery Box in MW3 Zombies

The Mystery Box costs 950 Essence, which is the in-game currency. Essence can be earned by completing contracts and killing zombies. The box will cycle through an armory of guns, and players will receive a random gun that may include a rarity and some attachments. One of the weapons can even be the much-favored Ray Gun.

Players can continue to draw weapons from the box if they have enough money, but there are a limited number of uses per box. Once depleted, the Mystery Box will disappear for the rest of the game. However, players can travel to another Mystery Box on the map and continue drawing weapons until it too is used up.
