How to Find the Plant From the Dark Grove in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Once you’ve received the quest task to gather ingredients for the tracking spell, head into the portal again to find the Dark Grove. From here, you’ll mostly be surrounded by fog, trees and large Night Thorns. To find the plant, circle around the portal and look for a twisted, curling Night Thorn with a glowing purple figure on top. This is the plant you need! Interact with the plant to pick it up.

Some signs you’ll want to look out for include a smaller Night Thorn nearby and two trees on either side of the plant’s thorn. From here, you’ll find the sparkling, purple plant resting comfortably on top.

Alongside the plant, you also need Donald’s Feather, two emeralds and four Dream Shards for the quest. If you need help finding any of these three items, check out the list below for their locations:

  • Donald’s Feather: You should have this after progressing to this point in the quest!
  • Emerald: Mine the dark rocks in the Forest of Valor and the Glade of Trust.
  • Dream Shards: Clear out Night Thorns for a small chance to receive some.

With all four items in hand, deliver them to Merlin to start the next part of the quest to save Donald Duck!
