Where to Get Revival Materia in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth (FF7)

Folios, weapons, and accessories make up the backbone of any good build in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. But none of that really shines without Materia, which gives each of your player characters abilities and spells to fight the endless stream of fiends and enemies you’ll encounter throughout the game. And no Materia might be as useful as the Revival Materia, which gives you access to Raise and Arise.

You can find the Revival Materia as early as Chapter 7. Once you’ve completed the mine cart ride in the coal mine of Mt. Corel, you’ll find yourself in Barret’s hometown of North Corel. After a rather upsetting cutscene, you’ll be free to explore the Residential and Lookout areas of the town. And while the Revival Materia is in the Residential Zone, you’ll need to access it using the Lookout.

Head to the front of the clinic and look out over the cliff towards the Residential District. You’ll see a house with a rusted roof in front of you. Jump down to it where there’s no fence. You’ll then just need to head a little right, and the green Materia will be unmissable. Snag it, and you can then equip it to use the spell Raise, which costs 7 MP to cast but brings incapacitated characters with higher HP than a Phoenix Down can.

Level up the Revival Materia, and you’ll eventually unlock the skill Arise, which can fully revive an incapacitated teammate with full HP. This becomes exceptionally useful later in the game when you’re tackling powerful bosses who are hellbent on cutting you down to size.

But there’s more to this town than Materia. You can also grab Red’s second Folio in North Corel. Or you can ride right on through and make your way to the Gold Saucer.
