How to Customize your Wand in Hogwarts Legacy

There are many like it, but this one is mine.

Nothing is more integral to a Wizard than their wand, and we all want one that matches our character. Hogwarts Legacy is full of customization options to add to the RPG elements of the game, and wands happen to be just one additional facet of those customization systems.

However, there are a couple of different ways to customize your wand depending on where you are in the game. One method has you choose a permanent base for the Wizard’s tool, and the other method can be used throughout Hogwarts Legacy. We’ll cover how you can make the most of these systems in our wand customization guide.

Hogwarts Legacy – How to Customize your Wand

Like any good RPG, players will need to get a wand before they can even start customizing one. As soon as you complete the initial Charms and Defense Against the Dark Arts class, Professor Weasley will offer you a quest to get your wand. This quest brings you to Hogsmeade and Ollivanders to pick a wand. The wand you pick will be the permanent base for the rest of the game and the first part of the customization. I chose to go with the set I was given through the Wizarding World quiz, but you can use any customization.

After you pick out the initial wand, you’ll be able to change the handle throughout Hogwarts Legacy. In the Gear menu, there is an option for Wand Handles that can be changed to any you have unlocked. Of course, this is part of the loot in the game and you’ll need to unlock the handles as you explore.

Chests around the map in Hogwarts Legacy are the best way to unlock handles to customize your wand. However, they’re used as rewards in many different systems, so make sure to complete as much as you can if you want more customization for your wand in Hogwarts Legacy.
