First, you will need to enter the wardrobe menu, which can be done by bringing up your inventory. From here, click the wardrobe icon and then the “Customize” tab. From there, click the “Create” button, and then you will be given a plethora of different clothing type options.

Pick the piece of clothing you want to customize, and you’ll be brought to the customization menu. Here you can add up to 50 layers to make the perfect shirt, hat, pants, or hoodie. Use the different shapes and objects provided to you to mix and match different patterns. Really let your creativity shine here. You can change the size, rotation, color, and shape of most of the objects given to you.

If you find a lot of the layers underwhelming, you can unlock more in the Star Pass or by leveling up villagers around town. This will unlock new customization options for you to use on your custom clothing.
