How to Add Friends in Warzone 2.0

Social options denied

Warzone 2.0 has finally arrived, but not without a solid amount of problems, among which is the impossibility of creating a party with friends or inviting them to play with you at all. Although the Social options actually worked properly in Warzone 2.0 at launch, a few days later many players noticed that when they tried to enter the Social menu to squad up with friends or send an invite, the game would just throw them back to the main menu without giving them access to Social options at all.

Until Infinity Ward fixes this problem, keep reading to find out a workaround for how to add friends in Warzone 2.0.

How to Add Friends in Warzone 2.0

If your Social options do not work in Warzone 2.0, the only way to invite other players is through the Channel tab:

  1. On the title screen, open the main menu.
  2. Click on the tab with the headset icon – that’s the Channels tab.
  3. Select Game Channels.
  4. You will be able to see your Activision friend list.
  5. Select the player you want to join your party and click “Invite to Party”.

The only limitation of this workaround is that you will not be able to invite people who are not your Activision friends, nor can you add those who have a lock icon next to their name because they may have locked their profile for invites or are offline.

Until this issue is fixed and the Social menus that worked normally on the first day work again, unfortunately, this is the only way to add players to your party in Warzone 2.0.
