Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’s Standard Edition featuring the base game is priced at $69.99, Deluxe Edition at $79.99 and Collector’s Edition at $229.99. You can purchase the first two as digital copies through the PlayStation store, with physical copies also available through PlayStation Direct. Collector’s Edition is also only available as a physical copy through PlayStation Direct.

While there is no right or wrong answer for which edition you should purchase, below is a list of both their features:

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’s Standard Edition

  • Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 base game.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’s Deluxe Edition

  • Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 base game.
  • Five unique suits for Peter.
  • Five unique suits for Miles.
  • Additional photo mode items.
  • Five skill points.
  • Early unlock suits and gadget.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’s Collector’s Edition

  • Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 base game.
  • All Deluxe Edition content.
  • Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 full game digital voucher code*
  • SteelBook® display case
  • 19-inch Collector’s Edition statue: Spider-Man Peter Parker, Spider-Man Miles Morales, and Venom
  • Includes pre-order bonus items:
    • Arachknight Suit for Peter early unlock (includes three color variants).
    • Shadow-Spider Suit for Miles early unlock (includes three color variants).
    • Web Grabber gadget early unlock.
    • +3 Skill Points.

The edition you choose will depend entirely on whether you’re interested in paying an additional $10 for cosmetics, photo mode items, and skill points. If your primary interest is playing the game without the extra bells and whistles, you can easily save money by sticking to Standard Edition. However, if the sound of additional cosmetics and bonus skill points sounds appealing, it may be worth considering the upgrade to Deluxe.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will launch on October 20, 2023, as a PlayStation 5 exclusive. If you’re curious whether you need more space on your PS5 for the game, check out our Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 file size guide.
