The highly-anticipated Insomniac Games title Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is almost here and you can already pre-load it right away. And you should definitely do so as this game will probably be occupying a good portion of your storage thanks to its sheer file size. Here’s how much space you’ll need to download this game.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Total File Size

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has a total file size of 86,268 GB. While this is still better than some recent titles that went all the way up to 100+, that’s still some huge space needed for a single game. If you want a comparison, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered had around 54GBs with all of its DLCs included, while Miles Morales ranged around 40GBs despite being an overall smaller game.

The most important factor to this huge size jump is possibly the expanded Open World area. The original map is back, but the two web-slingers can now visit more areas in New York City, including the Queens and Brooklyn. This mere change is enough to justify such a need for bigger storage, but that’s not all that we have here.

Many new features such as customizable suits and missions are being included here, as well as the possibility of changing between Peter and Miles whenever you feel like it. You even get the chance to find the other Spider-Man swinging around the city if you’re lucky enough. They’re also fighting crime on their own, and you can always offer some help if you want.

And with double the heroes, double the story to follow. The game is expected to include even more content than the previous games which were already filled to the brim with side missions and objectives. The main story goes unmentioned as it’s aiming to be even more ambitious than the first title with the inclusion (and return) of many different villains. The game might be huge in size, but it brings some huge content to justify it.
