How Long Is Super Mario RPG Remake?

How long will it take you to beat this game?

Back in my day, an RPG wasn’t designated to be at least 100 hours long to be worth the money. However, is Super Mario RPG in this category, or does its total playtime clock in at something lower than that?

How Long Does It Take To Beat Super Mario RPG on Nintendo Switch?

Released originally on the Super Nintendo back in 1996, the original version of Super Mario RPG clocks in at around 15 to 20 hours in length, depending on how you’re playing it. This means that the Switch version will clock in at anywhere from 10 to 20 hours, with the added Breezy difficulty mode significantly reducing the challenge level of the game, while giving players plenty of additional XP and items to help them breeze through the story. So, while it may not be as long as your typical RPG from this current generation, you can still find plenty of reasons to visit this unique Mario world.

Since Super Mario RPG is a nearly one-to-one remake of the original game, you’ll find all of your old secrets still hiding in their original spots, but there are also some new secrets to discover if you’re ready for the challenge. Beyond that, you’ll find that the core game itself hasn’t been changed much beyond a shiny new coat of paint, and a new soundtrack that can be swapped to the original, as well.
