How Long is God of War Ragnarok Valhalla? – Answered

Another small saga for Kratos

When God of War Ragnarok Valhalla was first revealed, the trailer didn’t give players the best idea of how long the DLC would take to beat. Now that it’s out, it’s a surprisingly hefty piece of content, and you can spend some more quality time with Kratos.

How Long to Beat God of War Ragnarok Valhalla

It will take around six hours to complete the God of War Ragnarok Valhalla DLC if you just focus on getting through the initial story. The DLC isn’t open by any means, so you are always making some kind of progress toward beating the new snippet of story content. However, the way you approach Valhalla can extend your time.

Anyone who is playing on a lower difficulty and races through each door could probably even beat the DLC within four hours. Each run within the Valhalla maze allows Kratos to reach some fresh story beats so he can confront his violent past. Getting through all the story in God of War Ragnarok Valhalla will allow you to “beat” the DLC, even if it’s meant to be played as a roguelite.

Because the DLC is a roguelite, you can get far more gameplay beyond the initial six hours. Kratos may be done with his therapy session, but there are still plenty of challenges to conquer in Valhalla. You can attempt to take down every enemy possible or you could attempt to unlock all possible buffs and armors for future runs.

Some of the armor within God of War Ragnarok Valhalla can eventually be unlocked in a New Game Plus save as well. So if you want to spend more time in the DLC while earning rewards, there is plenty of opportunity for it.

Before heading into the DLC, make sure you bring the best shield for Kratos.
