The Ancient Blade in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is one of the many gifts bestowed on Link by the ancient civilization, the Zonai. However, this gift does not come when feeding Zonaite to a Device Dispensary. No, there is a special place in the Depths that holds the blades, and there are a few things you need to get out of the way before you’ll be able to find the location of the Ancient Blades. Acquiring the Ancient Blades in The Tears of the Kingdom
To acquire the Ancient Blades, you must complete the main quests to Find the Fifth Sage and Guidance from Ages Past in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. These two quests will unlock the Sage of Spirit, Mineru, and her Spirit’s resting place, the Spirit Temple. This is where you’ll find the Ancient Blades.
When at the Spirit Temple entrance, drop down the hole in front of you and make your way to the Vessel of the Spirit standing inside. Beside Mineru’s Construct, there are two Constructs on the left and right; one a Smithing Construct and the other a Mining Construct. Make your way to the Mining Construct on the right-hand side. Interact with it, and it will offer to trade you, Ancient Blades, for Zonaite.
The Spirit Temple Location
The location of the Spirit Temple is in the southwest area of the Depths. The coordinates are 1334,-3365,-0737. If you have completed the Construction of the Spirit Sage and beaten the Scourge of the Spirit Temple (Seized Construct Boss), you’ll be able to fast travel to its location with ease and at any time.
What Are the Ancient Blades Used For in Tears of the Kingdom?
The Ancient Blades are used as arrow attachments. It is the strongest attachment you can use on an arrow, with a 50 fuse attack power. Quite frankly, it’s deadly, and when used, it can kill some of the biggest and most challenging enemies with one shot—totally decimating them.

Sadly, these Ancient Blades are of no use when attached to a sword, spear, or claymore. When attaching it to one of Link’s weapons, it will take one hit before it shatters into little pieces.
Items Needed to Trade for Ancient Blades in TotK
You’ll need plenty of Zonaite to get your hands on the special blade. It will cost you 50 pieces of Zonaite for a single Ancient Blade. If you have a duplication glitch handy, go and get one at the Spirit Temple and duplicate the Ancient Blade rather than using your Zonaite.
