The Silver Lynel is considered the strongest foe in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and avoiding a confrontation with one seems to be the best plan throughout. It is not only the strongest enemy you’ll come across but it’s also a rare creature that appears when progressing far in the game. In this post, I’ll be explaining how to find Silver Lynels in TotK as well as providing all of their locations.

How to Find Silver Lynels in Tears of the Kingdom

To find a Silver Lynel in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you must kill one of them in its original White form, wait for a Bloodmoon, or trigger one, and then wait for a Silver Lynel to respawn.

In total, there are 13 Lynels to find and defeat on Hyrule’s Surface and in the Depths. However, not all of them are Silver. Here are all of their locations and coordinates in TotK:

All Lynels Locations on Hyrule Surface

There are only three Lynels found roaming the grasslands and mountain tops on the Hyrule Surface in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

All Lynels Locations in The Depths

There are 10 Lynels in the Depths. One of the locations holds five of them, two of which are Silver Lynels. Here are all of their coordinates and locations in the Depths.

Found right next to the Kimakarut Lightroot and close to the Abandoned Kara Kara Mine in the Gerudo Depths Region.-2818,-2228,-0479
Found close to the Uihcoke Lightroot, the Abandoned Eldin Mine in the Eldin Depths Region, and South of the Minshi Woods Chasm.1039,1134,0474
Found directly opposite the Muihcoro Lightroot. There are no other landmarks close by. Fast traveling to the Muihcoro Lightroot is the easiest way to find the Lynel.-1623,2547,-0680

Right in front of the Ui-ihcoj Lightroot and east of Death Mountain Chasm.4191,2789,-0568
Right next to the Korakut Lightroot. Travel east toward the dead trees. The Lynel will be roaming around in the area. 1057,-0304,-0467
Right Behind the U-u-ujoj Lightroot. Climb up the side of the mountain behind the Lightroot and you’ll see the Lynel on the other side.1561,-3534,-0512 
Found inside the Floating Coliseum. Fast travel to Mu-ustust Lightroot and walk east to the Floating Coliseum. Here you’ll do a challenge where you’ll have to battle five Lynels, two of which will be the silver Lynels. They are the last two you will battle.-1129,-1168,0499
