Getting an alert that your account is locked is definitely not pleasant. It implies the end of the world, bans, the FBI knocking at your door… Or it can feel that way, at least. But in reality, the error is harmless, and honestly, I feel they should have worded it slightly differently, just for the sake of people with anxiety.

Long story short, the issue is completely on the server side. There’s nothing to worry about. In fact, the error code should resolve itself after a few minutes.

Can You Fix The “Your Account is Currently Locked” Error 395002 in Diablo 4?

Error Code 39500 occurs when Diablo 4’s servers are busy or struggling. This might be because of a large influx of players or because the game is receiving an update or hotfix.

There’s nothing much you can do except wait for the servers to calm down. That’s how it goes with almost every Blizzard game.

While you might be tempted to keep trying to log in, the general consensus online is that you shouldn’t “flood” the server with connection attempts when you get Error 395002 because the server may interpret it as spam and could even give your account a timed “shadow ban.” It’s best to wait for 5-10 minutes and try again instead of violently hitting buttons in an attempt to brute-force your way in. Here’s what the error looks like:

If you’re still having issues, try to log in outside of peak hours when there’s less traffic. Sadly, there’s no way to play Diablo 4 offline, so you’re condemned to wait it out. If you ask me, I wouldn’t go out of my way to make workarounds to join other servers that are not native to my geographical region. Patience is key.
