Helldivers 2: Can You Transfer Save Data Between PC & PlayStation?
While there are cross-generation and cross-play capabilities with Helldivers 2, much hasn’t been said on the forefront of cross-progression. It seems that this capability should be here, especially if players on PlayStation consoles can play with PC friends — and vice versa — but any cross-progression functionality is currently missing from Helldivers 2 as of the game’s launch.
While cross-progression may not be incredibly beneficial to those who are playing solo, the ability to jump in on your console or possibly on your portable PC while bringing all of your saved data over could be a great way to double the sales of this multiplayer shooter. Having a feature like this could also solidify it as the perfect game to jump into when there is a moment of downtime since you won’t need to worry about being by your preferred system when you want to exterminate some massive enemies.
If cross-progression were to be added to Helldivers 2, obtaining multiple copies wouldn’t come at too steep a cost. With its budget price tag, you could easily afford two copies of Helldivers 2 compared to one big-budget AAA game — it has been released at $39.99, which is incredibly fair.
Will Cross-Progression Come to Helldivers 2?
There is some speculation that cross-progression may come to Helldivers 2 later, but currently, there is no confirmation or set time frame for if and when this feature will be implemented. Arrowhead Game Studios has not shared any updates regarding this particular feature as of the time of this writing. For now, you’ll need to decide upon one platform or another, but at least there’s cross-play to ease your burdens.
