Is Helldivers 2 Cross Play? – Answered

Do you all need to be on PlayStation or PC to play together?

Being able to jump into a game with your friends regardless of the platform they pick is one of my favorite parts of modern gaming. Can you do this with Helldivers 2, or do you need the whole squad on a particular platform?

Is Helldivers 2 Cross-Platform?

While you may not be able to jump into the fun on your Xbox Series X|S, you’ll be glad to know that you can assemble a squad of Helldivers on both PlayStation 5 and PC together. The full experience is Cross-Platform, so you won’t need to get a new console or PC to play with all of your friends. Since the heart of the game lies in its cooperative multiplayer aspects, you won’t need to fret about the benefits of someone trying to kill you with a mouse and keyboard on PC— unless friendly fire is still a thing in this entry, then it may be time to worry about that one particular friend getting a little too trigger happy.

Being able to jump into a round of Helldivers 2 regardless of your platform of choice is exciting, especially considering you’ll likely want to play this with as many friends as you possibly can. Getting everyone together regardless of their console or PC preference should help breathe some longevity into this particular shooter, even if it is a drastic swap from its original version. I’m excited to get together with my friends and bring the pain to the variety of enemies that we’ll encounter, especially if it’s as satisfying as it was during Helldiver’s top-down days.

Make sure that you’re keeping an eye on our Helldivers 2 section below to learn more about the game, and find out what kind of a shooter you’re in for when you jump into this world.
