As you venture into the Depths of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you may see a familiar item return again. If you’ve been engrossed in the Zelda series for a long time, you’ll surely remember the Poes, ghostly enemies that would give you what for if you decided to take them on. While absent from Breath of the Wild, they’ve made their triumphant return in Tears of the Kingdom, albeit in a new form. As you search far and wide to amass as many as possible in the Depths, you may be hoping that they eventually respawn, especially if you have found a wealth of them. Here’s what you’ll need to know about this happening in the world below Hyrule, and if those Poes ever respawn in Tears of the Kingdom.

Can Poes Respawn In Tears of the Kingdom?

Yes, Poes do respawn in Tears of the Kingdom, but it may take you a little longer than expected to gather some of them up. As you explore the Depths, you’ll encounter three different types of Poes:

  • Poes – Worth 1 Poe
  • Big Poes – Worth 5 to 10 Poe
  • Grand Poes – Worth 11 to 20 Poes

Whether you’re saving up to purchase The Depths Armor or the Dark Link set, you’ll need a lot of Poes, so knowing where you’ve found big stockpiles of them is something to note. Make sure to use your Purah Pad and mark these locations accordingly so you can always return when needed.

When Do Poes Respawn In Tears Of The Kingdom?

If you’ve been searching The Depths for a good bit of time and finally emerge to the surface, you’ll just need to wait for a Blood Moon to occur. The Blood Moons occur every seven in-game days at Midnight, so once this event has happened, you can spelunk your way into the lower parts of the world once again and start collecting as many Poes as needed. You’re going to need a fair number of them to unlock some of the coolest armors in the game, so get to collecting these spirits and saving them up for great rewards.

This does apply to all of the Poes found in this underworld, not just Big and Grand Poes, so once the Blood Moon has risen once again, you’re free to explore every nook and cranny of the Depths to find more of these delightful little creatures.
