The First Descendant made it a little confusing for players when they created “Ultimate” versions of some Descendants. These Ultimate Descendants look different from their counterparts, especially when it comes to Descendants like Bunny. Are they stronger, or is it purely aesthetic? Here are the main differences between Bunny and Ultimate Bunny in The First Descendant.
What Are the Differences Between Bunny and Ultimate Bunny in The First Descendant?
Apart from the costume, what separates Bunny from Ultimate Bunny? They are different Descendants when it comes to the Descendant page. Their skills are similar, including their passive skills. It seems like they are only different through cosmetics, and the Ultimate Bunny version could’ve been just a skin.
Ultimate versions have slightly higher base stats than regular ones, but the differences aren’t that large. However, you’ll only notice the big difference in the endgame when you are already theory crafting builds. If you look at the “Access Info” tab (you can open the map and look for the tab since there are two menus), you can go to the Modules section and categorize them by Descendants.
Search “Bunny” on the search bar and look for Transcendent Modules like High-Voltage or Electric Charge. These modules have “Ultimate Bunny exclusive” written on the tooltip. Only Ultimate Bunny can equip these, which is the biggest difference between Bunny and Ultimate Bunny.
Here’s a list of all Bunny’s Transcendent Modules:
- High-Voltage (Ultimate Bunny exclusive)
- Electric Charge (Ultimate Bunny exclusive)
- Bionic Fuel
- Superconductor
- Electric Transition
- Electric Condense
Ultimate Bunny can use all these modules, while Bunny is limited to the Bionic Fuel, Superconductor, Electric Transition, and Electric Condense Modules.
How Big is the Difference Between Bunny and Ultimate Bunny?
Since the main difference is the High-Voltage and Electric Charge Modules, it’ll depend on how strong these are to measure the difference between Bunny and Ultimate Bunny. If you look at our best Bunny endgame build, we don’t use these two modules, but they are good alternatives.
However, the High-Voltage module is a mandatory upgrade to make the Lightning Emission Bunny build work on bosses. If you aren’t using Bunny, you need a different build for bossing. However, adding socket types when resetting Bunny is permanent, so it’ll be hard to transition to another build if your planned modules don’t align.
The Electric Charge module is fun and quite strong. It perfectly fits the Lightning Emission Bunny Build and really pushes the playstyle to play like a… bunny. It is optional, and the build works without it, so it isn’t that big.
On the bright side, the High-Voltage single-target Bunny build isn’t exactly S-Tier when it comes to bossing. You can use other Descendants like Gley, who are extremely strong against bosses.
Other Ultimate versions will have the same problem, which is one reason some players might think The First Descendant is a pay-to-win game. You can also farm these Ultimate versions for free, but it’ll cost you hundreds of hours. It is a grinding game, after all.
