Can you Upgrade to the Deluxe Edition of Hogwarts Legacy? – Answered

Are you late to the Pre-Order party?

Deluxe editions of games typically provide benefits for die-hard fans, but they can also have an early access feature, as is the case with Hogwarts Legacy. All players that pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition were able to begin playing the game a few days earlier. So, if you pre-ordered the regular version, you’re undoubtedly wondering if you can upgrade now and play the game sooner. Let us investigate.

Can you Upgrade to the Deluxe Edition of Hogwarts Legacy?

The answer is – No. The thing you can do, though, is cancel the Standard Edition pre-order and place a new pre-order for a Deluxe Edition. If your goal is to get access to the game earlier, this is the only way, because it is not possible to pay extra for the upgrade to the Deluxe version pre-order if you have already ordered the standard version.

If you are wondering whether it is possible to upgrade to the Deluxe version not because of early access but because of other bonuses that came with the Deluxe edition, or if you are reading this guide after the release of the game, well, you are in luck, because that content will be available for purchase separately – a little later, for now, it is not known when and what the price will be.

What is in the Deluxe Edition of Hogwarts Legacy?

Deluxe Edition of Hogwarts Legacy for all platforms comes with the following:

  • Dark Arts Pack (Dark Arts Cosmetic Set, Thestral Mount, Dark Arts Battle Arena)
  • Dark Arts Garrison Hat
  • 3-Day Early Access (starting February 7)

And if you get the PlayStation version, you get some exclusive content that will stay exclusive to Sony’s platform for a year:

  • “Haunted Hogsmeade Shop” quest
  • Additional Dungeon
  • Shopkeepers Cosmetic Set
  • Hogsmeade Shop is available in-game
  • Felix Felicis Potion Recipe (Pre-order exclusive for PlayStation)

If all this seems like a must-get to you, it’s time to upgrade to that Deluxe edition, or wait a little bit – your choice.
