How to Get Gold Coins in Palworld

Gold coins are a common drop from enemies such as Syndicate Soldiers, who you can find during raids or in the wild. As you defeat them, you’ll receive items like gold, gun ammo, and medicine, among other resources.

You can also obtain gold from looting chests you find around the world. Most chests give anywhere from a few dozen to hundreds of gold coins alongside other rewards. However, many require copper and silver keys, which you find in regular treasure chests or by defeating enemies.

Additionally, once you begin interacting with merchants, you can also get gold coins by selling items, including your Pals. Doing this allows you to freely trade with the merchants or stockpile money for when you need it later.

Where to Spend Gold Coins in Palworld

You can spend gold coins by interacting with merchants in the Small Settlement at coordinates (72, -486). Here, you’ll find one NPC selling miscellaneous items such as seeds and crafting recipes, while the other sells Pals.

Two more merchants reside in Palworld’s other shabby town-like settlements: Duneshelter (357, 346) and Fisherman’s Point (-479, -745). These areas contain Pals and enemies of a much higher level and require heat resistance of some kind, so you might want to stick to the Small Settlement until you feel properly leveled. The merchants all seem to sell largely the same items, although the cosmetic items they sell seem to differ between them. If one merchant doesn’t have an item in stock, you may want to check out the other two instead.

Likewise, if you’re low on money, you can sell items to these merchants in exchange for gold coins, which you can use to buy from them. That way, if you see something you like but are just a few coins short, you can catch a Pal quickly before selling them and getting what you need. Let’s hope that Pal went to a good home.

How to Farm Gold Coins in Palworld

Luckily, Gold Coins in Palworld aren’t too difficult to come by, especially if you have a Ranch on your base and a few particular Pal. You can easily generate a passive income by placing Mau or Mau Crysts into a Ranch, and they’ll regularly spit out Gold Coins like a slot machine. Ranches can be built pretty early after hitting Level 5 and only require a few simple resources. Mau may be a little harder to come by as you’ll have to venture a ways out into the world and find them in the depths of a dungeon, or otherwise find their ice-type cousin in the frigid, high-level, snowy mountains.

If you’re still quite early in the game, a good option is to farm Vixy in your Ranch. Vixy won’t produce as many Gold Coins as a Mau, but it will drop the occasional Gold Coin alongside other valuable items like Pal Spheres and Leather. Any of the items Vixy drops that you don’t want, you can then sell to a merchant for a few extra coins.
