While Valorant can be fun to play with friends, sometimes you want to spend some time solo without it sounding weird (I’ve been there). Here’s whether you can appear offline in Valorant.
Can I Show Myself as Offline in Valorant?
Oddly, this answer is more complicated than a simple yes or no. If you want to know whether you can from in-game, then the answer is a simple no. Riot hasn’t implemented the feature into the game yet, so you’re out of luck there. However, you can use an external program to do it if you’re willing to delve into that.
While Riot has said that the following program is allowed to be used, you should still exercise caution when using it. It’s possible it could still trip the Vanguard anti-cheat, and you’ll have to contact support if that happens.
If you want to go through with it, you’ll want to head to the official GitHub page for the Deceive program and download Deceive.exe from the available options. Once you have it, extract the zip file and run Deceive.exe as administrator. Select Valorant from the options, then select the Offline button from the bottom. This will launch Valorant and show you offline to everyone else but will still let you play Valorant as you normally would otherwise. The only way someone could know you’re playing is through your match history.
If you’re a fan of other Riot games, you can use Deceive on both League of Legends and Legends of Runeterra as well to do the same thing. It’s a super useful program, and if Riot’s own words are to be trusted, it shouldn’t get you banned. That doesn’t mean you should use just any program however, since Riot is quite strict on which programs can and can’t be used when playing Valorant. They even cut a few off recently that merely let you view your in-game store without launching Valorant, so nothing is off the table.
