Best TAQ-56 Loadout for COD MW2 Ranked Play Season 3

Another day, another TAQ.

Both the TAQ-56 and the Vaznev-9k had slight nerfs to overall headshot damage in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Season 3. Despite the nerfs, the TAQ is still the king of Ranked Play, and most players in the game will likely be running the AR to quickly climb the division ladder following the latest reset.

If you’ve been playing COD MW2 for some time now, you’re likely used to how often some of the loadouts can change around to fit the new meta. Our TAQ-56 loadout guide for Ranked Play will ensure that you have the most up-to-date attachments so you can start slaying out.

COD MW2 Ranked Play Season 3 – Best TAQ-56 Loadout

The most recent attachment change to keep in mind is the underbarrel tuning. Now that they are all faster than they were before, in terms of ADS, we can utilize more recoil control. Mix that with the removal of High Velocity ammunition in our class and we have the setup we need.

Ranked Play Loadout for the TAQ-56:

  • Muzzle: Komodo Heavy
  • Barrel: 17.5″ Tundra Pro Barrel
  • Underbarrel: FSS Sharkfin 90
  • Rear Grip: Demo Cleanshot Grip
  • Stock: TV Cardinal Stock

Three of the attachments here are used for recoil control and bullet velocity. We have the Komodo Heavy muzzle, the 17.5″ Tundra Pro Barrel, and the FSS Sharkfin 90. Now that underbarrels have a faster ADS speed, we can use a light one like the Sharkfin and mix it with a muzzle.

Both the Demo Cleanshot Grip rear grip and the TV Cardinal Stock are used to increase the mobility of the TAQ-56 in COD MW2 Ranked Play. We want to ensure we can keep up with the speed of the competition and we already have plenty of control to counter balance these.
