Are Koroks in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom? – Answered
Breath of the Wild brought in many new fans to the series, but there’s a particular race of NPCs that truly grabbed hearts. I’m talking, of course, about the Koroks, which were scattered across the land, hidden by simple puzzles or beneath random rocks.
And it looks like we finally have confirmation about whether they’re going to be Tears of the Kingdom.
In a gameplay demonstration on March 28, presented by game producer Eiji Aonuma, fans were able to see quite a few new features in the upcoming Zelda game. This gameplay demonstration showcased new weapons, abilities, and the world. But eagle-eye viewers noticed something peculiar on the edge of the screen as Link rode around the environment.

A Korok, burdened by an overstuffed pack, is walking along a dirt trail. We can see from the still that it’s desperately trying to reach its friend.
While Link didn’t stop to interact with the Korok in the gameplay video, it’s clear that they’re in Tears of the Kingdom. Likely, they’ll offer side quests or tasks to Link, but we don’t know the depth of interaction we’ll have with them, or if they’ll still gatekeep inventory slots like they did in the Breath of the Wild.
My hope is that they’ll at least keep their trademark noise.
