“We have made the tough but necessary decision to take the time needed to work on getting the game to be the best quality experience for players. Thank you to our amazing community for your continued support, patience, and understanding. There is much more to share in the months ahead, and we look forward to seeing you in Metropolis next year.”

This delay comes shortly after a report from Bloomberg citing that the game was going to be delayed into late 2023, but it seems Suicide Squad has slipped even further than that. In 2022, the game was delayed to Spring 2023, so it’s been kicked down the line a few times now.

Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League will now launch on February 2, 2024. This marks a nine-month delay for the game. After seeing roughly 15 minutes of gameplay from Suicide Squad during February’s State of Play, fans were left wondering if this game was going to fulfill their Suicide Squad desires. The team seems to be taking the time to actively work on the game and address some of the feedback.

Between leaked battle pass screens to the tired fans of live-service games, Rocksteady was caught between a rock and a hard place when it came to Suicide Squad and delivering on fan expectations of the studio. Only time will tell what the final product looks like, but we’re going to have to wait a while longer to see.
