Grand Theft Auto 6 Leak Reveals Possible Female Protagonist

It looks like women run San Andreas too, at least if the most recent rumor proves to be true.

There are a lot of rumors swirling around Rockstar’s next entry into the Grand Theft Auto franchise, including when it will release and what the new location is. Now we’ve got a new rumor to add to the pile, this time concerning who the next protagonist will be.

According to a recent report by the Daily Star, courtesy of Don’t Feed the Gamers, it looks like the next game’s protagonist could very well be a woman. If the latest rumor is to be believed from an unnamed “inside source,” the upcoming game will feature multiple explorable cities and will feature a lead female character. Whether or not that’s the sole protagonist remains to be seen. If it’s anything like previous games, we’ll see multiple leads, though who they are is still very much a mystery – especially since Rockstar has yet to confirm anything about the next game in Grand Theft Auto.

Normally this is the part where we say “E3 is just around the corner,” but let’s be real – Rockstar has never been one for E3, they reveal what’s next on their own time and in their own special way. Still, none of this information is confirmed, so take all rumors with a grain of salt until the studio itself has made an official announcement.

In other leaky goodness regarding the future of Grand Theft Auto, a recent posting from an alleged EU dev mentioned that the next GTA would be a PlayStation 5 launch title set for 2020. According to the leak, the PS5 will supposedly release in March of next year, with GTA 6 launching in November, though they mentioned that those dates are not finalized. It’s important to note that this is an anonymous tip and that anyone can claim to be a developer, so take all information in this report also with the aforementioned and metaphorical grain of salt.
