The Far Cry franchise is known for having some rather interesting villains and one can only expect that will remain the same when the next installment arrives. Of course, we’ve heard nothing official from Ubisoft about Far Cry 6, but that hasn’t stopped the rumor mill from chugging along. That said, Breaking Bad’s Giancarlo Esposito recently claimed that he is working on a very big game, and a new report is stating that title just so happens to be Far Cry 6.
Following Esposito’s statement that he has been working on a huge game, speculation began to run rampant. After all, his portrayal of Gus Fring in Breaking Bad was absolutely and devastatingly wonderful in the most sinister of ways, so any game that he happens to be part of, fans are likely going to want to get their hands on it. Gamereactor UK recently posted an article, which has since been deleted, stating that the game Esposito is part of is Far Cry 6. Luckily, the powers that be (Nibel and Gematsu) were able to grab a screenshot of the since-deleted article and share it on Twitter.

In an interview with Collider, Esposito stated that he was working on a “huge” game that he was not able to disclose at the time. He noted how working on the title included having to perform with a “new style of acting,” which could potentially refer to the motion capture aspect many games use, but he does not directly say that. If said title does happen to be Far Cry 6, there is a good chance that fans are going to be quite excited.
Thankfully, we may not have to wait for long to know if this is the case. Since in-person events were cancelled this year, many developers and companies started plotting, planning, and releasing digital events to get their products out there for people to see. Ubisoft just so happens to be holding their own digital event in the form of Ubisoft Forward, which is set to take place on July 12th. If they plan to show off Far Cry 6, and if Giancarlo Esposito is part of the game, this is likely where we will find out.
Previous rumors regarding Far Cry 6 pointed to Vaas making a return as the villain for Far Cry 6, which could certainly be possible. After all, if Esposito is in the game, it wasn’t stated that he would be the bad guy, even if he is well known for playing that sort of role. For all we know, the actor could be talking about a completely different game entirely. Maybe we’ll see him in the upcoming 2020 installment of Call of Duty or even Halo Infinite. Whichever game he is talking about, however, is sure to be an interesting time for all to enjoy.
