We’ve got a new look at Assassin’s Creed Valhalla thanks to the most recent episode of Inside Xbox, optimized for the Xbox Series X. Ubisoft announced the next step for the Assassin’s Creed franchise earlier this month and now we’re getting an even closer look at how Vikings do the Brotherhood!
While this game is releasing on this generation, it’s also being optimized with the next generation of graphics in mind, which means that players that choose to play it on the Xbox Series X will get a bump in performance and graphic integrity for those looking for the ultimate Viking experience.
Visually, the above gameplay looks absolutely stunning, which we expected, but the Assassin’s Creed community seemed divided when the Viking theme was revealed with so many hoping for a Japanese take on the Brotherhood. That being said, Vikings has been a highly desired theme about as long as Feudal Japan has, and this gameplay is so stunning that even naysayers may feel compelled to give Ubisoft their props.
Though Valhalla is confirmed to not be as big as Odyssey, which some claimed was too big in terms of side quests and extended content, the update plans from the studio are immense, making sure that this is one purchase that more than pays for itself in terms of enjoyment. With the return of the hidden blade, character customization options, the ability to customize buildings and shops, raids, and so much more, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla looks to be like another knock out of the park for Ubisoft following Origins’ and Odyssey’s success.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla releases this holiday season on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Google Stadia. The Xbox One version will also be able to play on the Xbox Series X so that nobody has to miss out on playing the latest epic adventure!
