Of course, some PC users were already asking questions regarding performance with specific builds. The developer answered these questions with some measures, such as checking power savings configurations. However, as time passed, more and more PC users began to show concerns regarding the possibility of their PCs burning. With this in mind, the developer made a follow-up statement.

With Fillip’s statements in mind, players shouldn’t be concerned about their PCs suddenly melting due to the workload given by Phantom Liberty. Still, it never hurts to make sure that everything is working at 100% capacity before making the PC run such a daunting piece of software once it’s released.

Give your PC a good cleaning before Phantom Liberty drops, and double-check your system diagnostics. It doesn’t hurt to run a benchmark or two before booting up the game. Also, don’t forget to install those new drivers when they become available.

The Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty expansion releases on September 26, 2023 for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. Whether it’s been a while since your last romp through Night City or hopping in for the first time, plenty has changed, including a brand new 2.0 update that launches alongside the new expansion.
