Our 5 Assassin’s Creed locations we’d like to see next feature continues! Our first pick was a cyberpunk dream come true game with a feudal Japan ideation following soon after. So what’s next? We’ll, with Vikings on the way and Egypt done and gone, our next pick might not be the biggest hit with everyone: World War 2.
5 Assassin’s Creed Locations We’d Like to See Next, WW2 Germany
There are some incredible takes on this very dark time in human history, most notably with the amazing Wolfenstein series from Bethesda. Shamelessly, I’m a huge fan there as well and would love to see some of that magic carried over into the realm of Ubisoft.
Anti-Nazis? Check! Strong protagonist? Check! We could even up the ante and have a woman protagonist as the primary selection and have her be an undercover spy! Personally, I would love to play a story that follows someone like Vera Atkins, one of the most powerful women in the world when it comes to espionage. She was a young Romanian woman and was an intricate part of infiltrating Germany during the war. She continued to gather intelligence for the British while charming the pants off of her enemies. How does that not scream the Assassin plotline? Give this to me, Ubisoft!
There are, of course, more general ways that the storyline could go. I realise that there is a huge chunk of the player base that would balk at being forced to play a woman for some reason so alternatively, the storyline could follow a Nazi that uncovers a hidden truth about the Brotherhood that leads to a transformative experience that sees him leave that order to join another, the Brotherhood, as he works towards redemption for his previous crimes after seeing the ugly truth about German leadership.
The potential is limitless but I would love to see how Ubisoft takes to this part of history that is delicate and rife with horror and tragedy.
What do you think about our 5 Assassin’s Creed locations picks so far? We’ve got sci-fi fantasy, feudal Japan, and World War 2 Germany so far! What’s next? You’ll just have to continue on to the next part to find out! In the meantime, hit us up with your thoughts about a Germany-focused Assassin’s Creed game over on Twitter @PrimaGames, we’d love to hear your thoughts on this controversial take!
