I died 14 times trying to get this dog and I have no regrets

For example, did you know you can get your very own robot dog?

What is the Good Boy Protocol in Destiny 2? – Answered

Yes! If you’ve completed Operation: Seraph’s Shield, it’s likely that here and there, you’ve spied a giant yellow drone or even a locked door or two. That’s because this Exotic mission is absolutely stuffed with secret areas.

One of these secret areas is a labyrinth full of pipes, fatal falls, and turrets. But successfully navigate this platforming maze, and you’ll find yourself in a dark, hidden room. In the center of this room is a robot dog! And it’s a huge upgrade from Poo-Chi.

Approach it, and you will be prompted to “Activate Good Boy Protocol.” Do so, and you’ll pet it. It’s adorable. It made dying no less than a dozen times in the platform maze totally worth it.

Shortly after activating the Good Boy Protocol, the robot dog will disappear. But don’t worry! It actually goes straight to the H.E.L.M. to hang out with Rasputin. Now you can activate the Good Boy Protocol any time you like. And the dog is so happy about it! This might be the best thing Bungie has ever added to the game.

There’s even an Emblem Tracker for how many times you’ve petted the dog! So cute.

If you want to pet this pup for yourself, you’ll need to collect all 50 Drones to open the door in Seraph’s Shield. Check out the related link above to do just that. Woof.
