Changing the fire rate or the firing mode on weapons is nothing new to Destiny 2, but there are typically some rules to altering the way a weapon works. With the Season 19 update that recently went live, there is now a way to make nearly every weapon in the game fully automatic.
The best part is that turning full auto on for all of your weapons is even easier than you’d imagine. No grinding or build swapping is required for you to make use of the simple system. This Destiny 2 guide will cover how you can turn the full auto selection on within moments.
Destiny 2 – How to Make All Weapons Full Auto
To use the new Season 19 full auto feature in Destiny 2, the first step is to open your settings. Open up the main character menu and scroll all the way to the right in the settings tab with the gear symbol. From here, you can move down to the gameplay section where most of the integral settings are found within the game.
There aren’t too many gameplay settings on the screen, so if you look halfway down, you’ll find the “Full Auto” option. Simply toggle this to “on” and that change will now be available on your character. This will also extend to your other two characters, so there is no need to worry about constantly altering your settings.

If you decide to use this feature, it’s important to note that the full auto setting doesn’t necessarily make the weapons fully automatic in a standard sense. Burst rifles will remain burst rifles and their fire rate will not increase at all. The change comes from the way you will use your trigger. With the new setting, you can simply hold the trigger and the bursts or charges will continue. Weapons like the “No Time To Explain” are a great example of how this works, but there is no fire rate bump.
You can certainly save yourself some grief with the Destiny 2 Season 19 feature, but it’s not required. Try it out for yourself and see if the full auto makes a difference.
