How to Get Shiny Charizard in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

So the Charizard that appears in raids is Shiny-locked, meaning you will not find a Shiny version in the raid itself. However, there is another way to obtain this cool-looking dragon.

Once you’ve captured the Charizard, grab a Ditto and breed them using the new picnic feature. Remove every Pokemon in your party except the Ditto and Charizard, and wait for an egg to spawn inside the picnic basket. You’ll need to breed a lot of eggs to hatch a Shiny, as the odds are the same for finding one in the wild.

Of course, if you’ve completed the Pokedex in Scarlet and Violet, you will be given the Shiny Charm, which increases your odds by almost double. It will still be rare, but hopefully, this helps tremendously.

Outside of that, you’ll want to eat a sandwich that gives you “Egg Power” which will produce more eggs in a shorter amount of time.

When riding around with the eggs in your bag, have a Talonflame or Volcarona in your party. Their Flame Body ability will decrease the amount of time needed for the eggs to hatch.
