Borderlands 3 Hotfix – Slot Machine Mania and Trials Take-All

If you’ve been wondering about what’s next on the cards for Borderlands 3, you might want to take a small detour to our post about the Revenge of the Cartels event that’s set to grace the galaxy this month. Spoilers: we’re talking galactic gangsters, Maurice, and more loot than you can shake a stick at. However, there are also a ton of mini-events on right now for everyone who’s upped their Vault Hunting hours since we’re all stuck at home, and there was a recent Borderlands 3 hotfix pushed through which started off the Slot Machine Mania and Trials Take-All mini events. If you’re wanting to read Gearbox’s breakdown of it all, you can check it out here, but we’ve reproduced the hotfix information below for your benefit.

ADJUSTMENTS FOR MOZE, THE GUNNER:

We have been taking a closer at Moze the last few weeks. Here at the first set of hotfixes based on those investigations, primarily focused on improving her survivability. We will be further addressing some areas we identified as trouble spots for her in the future.

    • Reduced the cooldown time for Iron Bear
    • Increased the amount of fuel for Iron Bear
    • Increased the bonus on “Behind the Iron Curtain” skill
    • Increased the bonus on “Security Bear” skill
    • Increased the bonus on “Experimental Munitions” skill

WEAPON BALANCE:

Damned

    • Increased weapon damage

Hyperion Weapon Shields

    • Increased the amount of damage weapon shields absorb

The Lob

    • Increased Fire Rate
    • Reduced projectiles from 3 to 1

Tiggs Boom

    • Increased weapon damage
    • Increased damage from the Starfall meteors

Moonfire

    • Increased weapon damage
    • Increased Critical Damage Bonus

Good Juju

    • Non-critical hits now increase Critical Damage Bonus by 20%. This bonus stacks 25 times and is removed upon manual reload.

Now for those mini-events that we mentioned: Trials Take-All and Slot Machine Mania. Both of them went live on April 2 and will go down on April 9, so there’s still time to crack into them if you haven’t already. Slot Machine Mania is particularly interesting to us because it ups the Legendary spawn rate of gear from Slot Machines, along with grenades. No one ever won anything worthwhile without a bit of a deadly gamble, right? In addition to that, Trials Take-All will make it profitable to do Proving Grounds content again, which gives Bosses a 100% chance to drop their specified loot. If you wanted to stock up on weapons, now is the time.

Now that we’ve updated you on the latest Borderlands 3 hotfix, there should be nothing left stopping you from cracking into Slot Machine Mania and Trials Take-All while they’re still going! You’ve got a couple more days yet so make the most of the Legendary spawn rates at the slots – you’d be a fool to not capitalize. Not yet a proud owner of Borderlands 3?
