Now, on to the Pokemon that actually evolve using the Shiny Stone. We’re talking some fan favorites, and we’ll list them below as well as how to actually obtain them in either Pokemon Sword or Pokemon Shield:

  1. Budrew – Route 4
  2. Minccino – Route 5
  3. Togetic – via Togepi, found in the Bridge Field Wild Area

If you haven’t quite yet added a Togepi to your arsenal, now might be the right time; Bridge Field where you can find one of these cute critters is also super close to the Digging Duo. You’ll be able to flog them with Watts and get them to dig for you until they eventually dig up something that could be a Shiny Stone. Again, it’s random rewards with this lot, so you’re going to need a lot of Watts and persistence.

A method that guarantees a Shiny Stone would be to take to Route 8. After you fight Doctor Joanna, there’s a ladder that you can scale which then opens up onto a path. Head to the end to pick up a Shiny Stone.

If you need more than one, well, then your best bet is probably the Lake of Outrage. If you have the Rotom bike upgrade that lets you cycle on water, you’ll be able to reach a little island which has a giant rock formation on it. Underneath all of those rocks will be an evolutionary stone, and if you get lucky, one of those will be the Shiny Stone that you want. If not, these stones respawn so you can just check back later after mucking about in the Wild Area if you like.

Now that you have our guide to the Shiny Stone in Pokemon Sword and Shield, getting one should be a piece of cake. Need a hand with anything else on your Galarian adventures? Check out the following guides that we’ve put together:
