The world of Destiny 2 will be changing significantly on Tuesday, October 1st with the launch of the title’s new Shadowkeep expansion and New Light free-to-play version. October 1st will also see the launch of the game’s cross-save feature and Destiny 2 on Steam. However, if you are a PC player and would not like to start over when you begin playing on Steam altogether, you will need to transfer your account officially.
Destiny 2: How to Transfer Account from Battle.net to Steam
The process to transfer your Destiny 2 account from Battle.net to Steam is not too complicated. However, you will have to make sure you complete this process before October 1 for it to correctly work.
You will first need to head to the official website for Bungie where you can begin the transfer process. The site will ask you to log in to your Battle.net account. Once you have checked to make sure all of the content on your account is there and correct, you will then be asked to log in to your Steam account. Check to make sure all of your content transferred over. If it moved over successfully, you could continue to click until it says “Success.” This message will inform you that the transfer of your Destiny 2 account was successful and will be ready for the launch of Destiny 2: Shadowkeep and New Light.
Now, you will be able to begin your new adventure in the popular title without skipping a beat when Tuesday, October 1st rolls around.
This is your last chance to transfer your Destiny 2 account from Battle.net to Steam before the launch of Destiny 2: Shadowkeep and New Light.
