New Assassin’s Creed VR, Splinter Cell VR Games Reportedly In the Works

A new rumor says that new Assassin's Creed and Splinter Cell VR games are in the works!

Facebook is going hard when it comes to taking on the gaming scene and according to recent reports, they’re upping the ante with new Assassin’s Creed and Splinter Cell VR experiences. Whether you want Assassin’s Creed VR or Splinter Cell VR, according to The Information, both are on the way.

The most recent report regarding both franchises alleges that “inside sources” close to the Facebook gaming division told the site that Mark Zuckerberg and VP of the gaming initiative, Jason Rubin, are heading a new project bringing both Assassin’s Creed VR and Splinter Cell VR over to the Oculus. Unfortunately, the article failed to clarify whether said projects would be making their way over onto the Rift or the Quest (or both), but a Facebook representative did reach out to UploadVR with the following statement:

“The response to Oculus Quest and Rift S gaming have been incredible. We cannot comment on specific partnerships, but we will continue to focus on expanding our library and reaching broader gaming audiences for years to come.”

Though this news sounds exciting and does fall in line with previous rumors that a new “never before done” Splinter Cell game was in the works, it’s important to remember that these claims have not been verified by the company itself, which means it’s firmly in the rumor pile until stated otherwise.

Still, Splinter Cell in VR? That has incredible potential and don’t even get us started on how much we would freak out over an Assassin’s Creed VR experience either.
