Custom Armor Sets in Space Marine 2

Saber Interactive has confirmed that players can either choose from premade armor sets for specific classes or create their own armor sets by combining pieces from different sets available for their individual classes.

Players will be able to individually customize the designs of helms, pauldrons, breastplates, wargear, gauntlets, and greaves in the Armouring Hall. These are unlocked when playing in different multiplayer modes.

In addition, players can access the “Astartes Chapters” where they can access presets representing many legendary Space Marine Chapters. Here, players can personalize different parts of the set with different paints, emblems, and color patterns.

Players can also customize the Heretic Astartes characters for PvP matches. Each class corresponds to a specific Traitor Legion, and here you can change the colors and apply different emblems, but not mix around the armor set pieces.

Finally, in the Astartes Heraldry menu, players can acquire each Chapter’s unique customization elements from Adeptus Astartes, Heretic Astartes, Unknown Foundings, First Founding, Second Founding, and Successor Chapters.

At launch, over 30 different Chapters have their colors and heraldry available to unlock through game progression, but some of those are exclusive to the Season Pass. You can read more details about customization here.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is coming to PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, Xbox Series S|X, and PlayStation 5 on September 9, 2024. It’s now available for pre-order across all platforms. If you’re interested in the PC version, make sure to check out the system requirements as well.
