Link an AP Up Materia to the one you want to level up if you want to earn points much faster. The AP Up Materia will make all experience earned on that specific slot much more lucrative. However, getting an AP Up Materia won’t be as easy as a Cure or Fire. In fact, there is no way to find it in the first two chapters of the game. Cloud and his party need to wait until at least Chapter 3 to find an AP Up or you can take on some of Chadley’s challenges that lead to more options.

Once you have an AP Up Materia, it’s important that you add it to a slot with a link. Using any blue orb in a solo slot will essentially do nothing for your party. Most characters will have at least one weapon or item with a linked Materia slot that you can use, so there’s no need to worry about more equipment. However, you can always use the Transmuter to craft a different bracer or wait until you get another weapon with better slots in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

How to Quickly Level Materia in FF7 Rebirth:

  • Link an AP Up Materia for faster levels.
  • Use the Materia as often as possible in battle.

If you’re in the early stages of FF7, then you need to rely on good old-fashioned grinding. Make sure that you’re using the Materia at any possible opportunity during combat encounters. The more you use one of the orbs, the faster it will reach the next rank. Until you find an AP Up, though, the experience gains won’t be any faster.

AP Up isn’t the only important orb in the game, so make sure you’re collecting as much Materia as you can for your party.
