The Dry Valley biomes are host to many valuable resources in LEGO Fortnite which you’ll use to enhance your village level and/or your usual equipment. They have Cactus, for example, which are not as simple as they seem to chop down.

How to Gather Cactus in LEGO Fortnite

You need to use a Rare or higher Forest Axe to successfully gather Cactus in LEGO Fortnite. While it’s quite easy to find Cactus around the Dry Valley biomes, your bare hands or your regular weapons won’t do a thing to it, and chopping it will require some more precise tools which also give you some extra work to make.

The Rare Forest Axe is obtained by bringing five Cut Ambers and three Knotroot Rods to a Level 2 Crafting Bench, which is also particularly hard to upgrade. It can also make some other Rare-grade weapons such as Longswords, if you ever feel the need for some more raw power during your search for said materials.

Once you get all of those, craft your Axe and head back to the previously unbreakable Cacti to start chopping it until it’s finally gone. Your efforts won’t go unacknowledged, as you get Flexwood as the main reward for cutting some Cactus down. Flexwood is used to make a lot of high-end upgrades and constructions, so getting that axe to cut down those big green desert trees is only the beginning.

Your Axe will lose some durability if you keep using it too much, but you can always make another one just in case you already have easy access to its materials (Cut Amber is the most difficult to get, in particular). Keep some resources locked down in a chest in your village to avoid having a bad time if the worst happens to you as the desert houses some ferocious creatures that might get you unguarded.
