Where to Find Obsidian in LEGO Fortnite

You can get Obsidian by reaching the top levels of the lava caves in the Dry Valley biome. Each biome in LEGO Fortnite has caves scattered around the map that yield different resources. In the Dry Valley, you can find Obsidian and Copper in high amounts around the cave systems. But they aren’t on the same level.

Copper is scattered all over the lava cave walls and rubies tend to be close to the lower levels where the lava flows. You want to head to the upper levels if you want to collect any Obsidian. Because some of it will spawn on the ceiling, I also highly recommend that you bring a stack of wood in your inventory. Then you can easily build any stairs you need.

Before you attempt to collect any Obsidian in LEGO Fortnite, you need the right pickaxe. For the Dry Valley, most of the materials will require a rare tool for harvesting, which means they need to be blue. The only item you can get with a green pickaxe is amber outside the caverns. You’ll need to start with amber before getting Flexwood for a rare pickaxe.

Once you have the pickaxe, make sure to bring some Snowberries as well so you don’t burn to death in the lava caves. Simply being inside will cause your character to start burning up. Eating a Snowberry will get rid of the worst effects, which saves you plenty of food for healing in the long run.
