Can You Skip Night in Lego Fortnite? – Answered

Hitting bricks... at night

When you are collecting materials for your brand-new village, you don’t always want to run into danger, which means you probably want to skip night. Games like Minecraft make skipping time easy, but that isn’t the case here, and I’ll explain why.

LEGO Fortnite: Can You Skip Night or Day?

The answer is no, there is no way to skip the night in LEGO Fortnite. Even if you sleep in a bed that you assigned to yourself at camp, nothing happens. You can only watch as your character dreams of the sheep they were hitting for plastic meat the day before. As soon as I saw that I could craft a bed, I tested it myself and was left in the dark.

Many of the player base for LEGO Fortnite has probably played Minecraft, which uses beds to skip nighttime on a whim. However, this game has more temperature survival elements than Minecraft does. Having warmth and braving the elements is part of the gameplay, so skipping that would probably be too easy.

Not being able to skip time does create a major obstacle though. More danger lurks around at night, and when your world is new, you only have access to some cheap axes. So on one hand, you don’t want to fight anything difficult. But on the other, you need to start collecting resources and you can’t just waste all your time huddled around a campfire. I would just focus on upgrading the Crafting Bench right away for some better gear.

You can also change the survival mode to a sandbox if you hate the idea of danger. But you will lose a lot of great gameplay in the process. Try to finish your early upgrades and keep a torch on hand to make the most of the night in LEGO Fortnite.

While you’re at it, focus on cooking some food in your new shack to pass the nighttime.
