How to Get the Tears of the Kingdom Hip Pack from Target

Look sharp.

With significant game releases such as The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, it’s no surprise that retailers are producing some pretty cool pre-order bonuses for any keen gamer. Everything from posters to pins to coins is available as a bonus across various retailers, so if you’re looking to get a hold of a one-of-a-kind bit of loot for Tears of the Kingdom, pre-order bonuses are a great way to do so. However, as launch day creeps in, more purchase bonuses are coming to light, including a nifty little bag for all your essentials.

How to Get the Tears of the Kingdom Hip Pack

Players looking to get ahold of the Tears of the Kingdom Hip Pack must purchase a copy of the game in-store from participating Target retailers. The hip pack is exclusive to in-store Target purchases only, so any pre-orders, even through Target, will need to be canceled if you want to get ahold of the pack rather than any other existing pre-order bonus. As expected, these packs are limited to one per customer and are only available while stocks last, so if you’re desperate you might want to be ready to roll for release day on May 12.

However, if you are headed to collect a copy of the game in-store, it’s best to call your local branch in advance to avoid any disappointment. Although the offer has been confirmed to be exclusive to North America, it’s hard to say whether or not every branch will carry the stock. In addition, due to the anticipation of the game and the number of people who have already pre-ordered, it wouldn’t be surprising if many players canceled their existing order to grab a hip pack instead.

Although pre-order bonuses usually revolve around in-game cosmetics and items, it’s nice to see so much variety in merchandise to coincide with the launch of Tears of the Kingdom, especially on top of the Collector’s Edition. But, as Nintendo’s first $70 on Nintendo Switch, you’ll want to get more bang for your buck, and pre-order bonuses can be a great way to feel like you’ve got a little more than just a game for the price.
