So, you might be one of the many Slayers who had full faith in Dead Island 2 and to that end, bought one of the Gold, Deluxe, and the Hell-A Editions of the game. And by doing so, you guaranteed access to Character Packs 1 or 2.

Character Pack 1 gave London born antihero Jacob the “Silver Star” outfit, a velveteen cowboy outfit in pure monochromatic red. Complete with a cowboy hat and two unique claw weapons, The Devil’s Horseshoes.

Character Pack 2 gave the Paralympian Amy the cyberpunk cosmetic “The Neurunner” and two unique katanas called Casimir and Julienne.

But how do you claim them? Here is the fun part: you cannot claim the character packs in Dead Island 2, and you will not be able to for quite some time.

While these character packs seem like something you would be able to automatically claim, like you could with the pre-order bonus Memories of Banoi, the Dead Island 2 Twitter account has announced that Slayers who purchased these packs have a long time to wait.

They have tweeted the following: “If you pre-order the Gold/Deluxe/HELL-A Edition, you’ll receive bonus character packs for Amy and Jacob. They will be available for download soon after release. We’re aiming to deliver character packs to Gold/Deluxe/HELL-A Edition owners in the summer.”

Summer starts on June 21, which means you have a two month wait, minimum. Maybe we will get a DLC around that time, too?

Until then, put salve on that bitter wound and take advantage of an infinite zombie spawning spot with this easy XP farm in Dead Island 2: Best Early Game XP Farm in Dead Island 2.
