How to Build a Treehouse in The Sims 4: Growing Together

The treehouse is a build menu item that you can place down through the game’s furniture store. To find it, enter Build Mode and search for “Treehouse” to find it. You’ll see the item, suitably named “Timber! Treehouse Base”, for 1200 Simoleons. Make sure you have plenty of money and space on your lot; it’s a pretty big structure!

Once you purchase and place down the treehouse, it’s time to start building. Both adult and child Sims can work on the treehouse, and both will gain progress towards their Handiness and Mental skills, respectively. However, children can’t build the house alone and require an adult around to supervise.

The easiest way to do this is to select an adult Sim and press ‘Build Treehouse’, followed by doing this with a child Sim if you wish. Multiple Sims can work on the house at the same time, allowing you to finish it quickly.

After you finish building the treehouse, you’re free to play, sleep and run around it as much as you’d like. If you want to decorate the treehouse, you can also go back to the Build Menu and search for “Placeable on Treehouse” to find all kinds of toys, activity tables and other miscellaneous objects on its wooden deck!
