The latest The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom trailer has fans pulling their hair out trying to figure out who is the voice in the sneak peek. Who is the character speaking? Who is the voice actor playing this character? This trailer has surely sent the internet into a spiral.

Who Is The Voice in The February Tears of The Kingdom Trailer?

While nothing is confirmed, fans are convinced that Matt Mercer is voicing the character in the trailer. Matt Mercer, the famous DM from the popular Dungeons and Dragons show Critical Role. Fans of the show can recognize his voice anywhere, and Mercer has voiced plenty of video game characters over the last decade.

Viewers have watched this man do thousands of hours of fierce and brooding creatures, so if it isn’t Mercer, it’s a great sound alike.

As for the actual character speaking in the trailer, it seems Nintendo wants us to believe it’s Ganondorf, as that makes the most sense. However, nothing is ever that straightforward, especially in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. Misdirects are common, and they could be any number of characters, from Overwatch’s Cole Cassidy to Yusuke in Persona 5.

As of right now, on the surface, it seems that Matt Mercer is voicing Ganondorf, but nothing has been officially confirmed. We will update this post with more information as soon as we know the official details.
