Cursed appearances.

There are a lot of aspects of Hogwarts Legacy that aren’t explained very well and appearances are certainly one of them. For those who have the Dark Arts Pack, you won’t want to waste cosmetics of this tier, and we’ll explain how you can equip the clothes in this guide.

Hogwarts Legacy – How to Equip Dark Arts Gear

The Dark Arts gear that is part of the Deluxe Edition is technically classified as a collection set of gear. That means they work like appearance or cosmetic items rather than actual gear with stats. To make use of collection items, you’ll need to use the appearance change options found in Hogwarts Legacy.

Players can change their appearance at any time by opening up the menu and going to the Gear screen. Within this screen, players can scroll over any gear piece to bring up the item window. At the bottom of the window, you’ll see the “change appearance” option. On a controller, this will be the Square/X button.

Regardless of the gear slot, there should be an option for a Dark Arts item in Hogwarts Legacy. For example, when you go to change the appearance of your robe, there will be an option for the Dark Arts Robe along with others. Now you can show off your dark side as you travel around Hogwarts.
