WoW’s 2023 “refresh” of Brewfest and Hallow’s end have been.. a little disappointing, if you ask me. We got some new goodies, but they’re almost exclusively locked behind abysmal drop rates of the event bosses, which can be attempted once a day. Let’s take a look at the new rewards for 2023, their sources, and just how lucky you’ll need to be to get them.
Hallow’s End New Rewards: Arfus, Armor, and.. a Bucket
The three notable new rewards that have been added are the Hallow’s End Armor for the Windborne Velocidrake, the Arfus pet, and the Bucket of Morbid Treats offhand transmog. Take a look in the gallery below:
As for getting these rewards, here’s how:
- Hallow’s End Mount Armor: Low drop chance from Loot-Filled Pumpkin from the Headless Horseman
- Arfus: Low drop chance from Loot-Filled Pumpkin from the Headless Horseman
- Bucket of Morbid Treats: Purchased outside Stormwind or Orgrimmar from Dorothy or Chub, respectively, for 150 Tricky Treats
Another holiday, another blink-and-you-miss-it reward or two. If you aren’t lucky enough to get these extremely rare drops, you’ll likely have to wait until next year to try again (unless they’re made available somewhere else, like the Trading Post).
If you’d like to increase your chances of getting these drops from the Headless Horseman, you can try activating the Wickerman Curses near the entrance for a harder fight (and better drop rates). The jury is out on the exact drop chances and how they’re affected, but it can’t hurt to boost them even a little.
If you want to get a little sematic, you could consider the new witch’s broom mount unlocked in the October Trading Post to be a “new” Hallow’s End reward, as well. It was, after all, one of the most requested changes to be able to ride a broom year-round, rather than being restricted to the event.
