WoW SoD: Is Transmog Available in Season of Discovery?

Can you get prettier?

The Season of Discovery servers in World of Warcraft made a few key changes to the game, introducing things like Runes and new objectives around the map. But have they retroactively added the Transmog system to the game?

Can You Use Transmog in WoW Season of Discovery?

Unfortunately, the Transmog system is not available in Season of Discovery. In fact, it’s not currently available in World of Warcraft Classic at all. The system was only added back in the Cataclysm update, which is the upcoming expansion for the retro version of Blizzard’s MMORPG. Therefore, none of the Classic servers currently have the Transmog system available.

If you’re unaware, Transmog is the game’s feature that allows you to use any item appearance you want over the gear you’re wearing to make you a little bit less ugly than normal. The item’s appearance is saved as soon as you touch it, so you can use virtually any item’s appearance in the game as long as you can equip it.

But SoD players will have to wait a bit to enjoy this feature. That is, if it’s even coming to to the game, of course. No mentions of Transmog were made in any of the recent official posts about the Season of Discovery, so it seems like it won’t be here for a while.

Your only option will be to use the plain, regular clothes you get from dungeons and raids in the endgame. It’s not like they’re necessarily bad, but wearing something different for a change would be cool. But the only way to change it will be by equipping new, stronger equipment, which should be arriving in further updates. And if you do, don’t forget to re-attach all of your Runes.
