WoW Seeds of Renewal (10.2.5) New Content Checklist

The end of the dream.

WoW’s Seeds of Renewal Patch brings with it the end of the “Guardians of the Dream” campaign questline. 10.2.5 also brings two “new” capital cities (for Alliance, at least) and a brand new questline – here’s how to unlock them.

Despite what you may think is.. logical.. both Horde and Alliance can participate in this questline. To start, just open your Adventure Guide using [SHIFT + J], navigate to the Suggested Content tab at the bottom and start the following quest:

  • Summons to Lord Greymane (Alliance)
  • Clandestine Movements (Horde)

Once you’ve begun the quest, you’ll be whisked away to a battlefield full of Scarlet Crusade and members of both factions duking it out for control of the long-abandoned city. The entire questline takes about 20 minutes, and you’ll be rewarded with a new ensemble cosmetic set and mount, seen below:

Guardians of the Dream Conclusion and Unlocking Bel’ameth

This is Chapter 6 of the Guardians of the Dream Campaign – if you haven’t completed the previous chapters, take a peek at the top portion of your quest log for where to head next. Chapter 6 will have you meeting Tyrande Whisperwind at the base of the new World Tree, Amirdrassil, in the quest A Blossom Witnessed.

A few quick quests later, most of which focus on revelry and reuniting with old friends, and you’ll have helped the Night Elves establish a new home. Bel’ameth, the new Night Elf capital city, will be under construction for a little while, but you can explore the island itself for a few hidden cosmetics like a tabard, cloak, and some weapons. Completing the campaign also gives you two nifty new back pieces, seen below:

Azerothian Archives

The Azerothian Archives quests begin just north of the Algeth’ar Academy and can be started, once again, by opening the Adventure Guide and finding the quest To The Archives! This will lead you to Eadward Dalyngrigge and task you with completing a few introductory quests to get down the basics of the new quests, which take place around the Dragon Isles.

Once you’ve completed these introductory questlines, which take around 40 minutes or so, you’ll unlock new Archivist World Quests. These do not grant player power, and reward a new currency: Mysterious Fragments. These can be used to purchase a whole host of new cosmetics and a new mount from Provisioner Aristta, found in the Azerothian Archives where your journey began.
